Spread the love

Front Post Double Crochet (FPdc)

Yarn over your hook, insert the hook from front to back and then front again around the post of the next stitch (from right to left). Yarn over again and pull up a loop. Finish your double crochet as usual.
➡️ This creates a beautiful raised texture on the front of your work.

Front Post Half Double Crochet (FPhdc)

Yarn over your hook, insert the hook from front to back and then front again around the post of the next stitch (from right to left). Yarn over, pull up a loop, and finish your half double crochet as normal.
➡️ This gives a subtle 3D texture to your crochet design.

Notes

  • Each round begins with 1, 2, or 3 chains (these do not count as stitches unless specified).
